Indian Head Massage - Duration of Treatment and Prices
The treatment, excluding the face, lasts for approximately 30 minutes and costs £23. Please allow an extra few minutes both before and after the treatment as the treatment itself lasts for at least 30 minutes.
The treatment, including the face, lasts for approximately 45 minutes and costs £28. Please allow an extra few minutes both before and after the treatment as the treatment itself lasts for at least 45 minutes.
Please allow an additional 15 minutes for your first treatment as I will need to establish your medical history, any medication that you may be taking, and your treatment expectations. This information will, of course, be kept confidential.
As a courtesy to other clients, please give at least 24 hours notice should you wish to change or cancel an appointment.
What to Expect
You will be seated throughout the treatment and the head, neck, upper back, shoulders, and arms will be massaged.
You can choose whether or not you want oils to be used in the treatment (there is no extra charge for the use of oils). If you do not want oils to be used, you can remain fully clothed; however, I would recommend that you wear a lightweight T shirt or top. If you do want oils to be used, you will need to remove your upper clothing and a large towel will be provided to ensure modesty. You can then literally sit back, relax and enjoy. If you prefer, I can perform the treatment with you lying on a couch.
Should you want your face massaged, I will ask you to lie on a couch for this part of the treatment.
At the end of the treatment, I will provide you with home care advice which will help you get the maximum benefit from your Indian Head Massage treatment.
The Oils That I Use
Coconut Oil softens and protects hair and skin. It is suitable for irritated, dry skin and hair and also for sensitive, mature, damaged skin. It gives a natural balance to skin, is soothing, and can reduce the symptoms associated with eczema and psoriasis.
It is a light oil and so is ideal for the face. It is also a cooling oil and therefore ideal in the summer.
Sweet Almond Oil
Sweet Almond Oil moisturises the skin and hair. It is suitable for irritated, dry skin and hair.
It is a light but warming oil - good for easing pains and stiffness.
Sesame Seed Oil
Sesame Seed Oil is incredibly nourishing for the skin and hair. It helps to rehydrate dry or tired skin. It is good for all skin types especially those with psoriasis and eczema.
It has a medium viscosity and is good for relieving muscular aches and pains and stiffness.
Grapeseed Oil is ideal for body and face massage. It balances and nourishes the skin. It is good for dry or mature skin and for those prone to allergies.
It is a light oil and easily absorbed.
