About Reflexology

Reflexology is a holistic therapy which means that the body is treated as a whole. The fundamental principle of Reflexology is that energy zones run throughout the body, that reflex areas of the feet correspond to all the major organs, glands and parts of the body, and that these zones and reflex areas can be worked using the the fingers, thumbs and knuckles to promote healing, good health, and a sense of well-being, and to reduce tension, stress and anxiety.

Reflexology has been used throughout time to relax and promote good health. The oldest historical evidence of this therapy comes from a hieroglyph in a tomb in Egypt, which has been dated to 2330BC.

During your treatment, you will remain fully clothed at all times – you will simply need to remove your shoes and socks or tights, lie on a couch, and relax and enjoy.

Conception Reflexology

Conception Reflexology supports couples who are looking to conceive.

Stress can affect fertility, however, relaxation can help to reduce stress. Reflexology encourages a deep state of relaxation, relieves stress, aids sleep, improves mood and promotes a sense of health and general well-being, all of which support fertility. Just relaxing more and making time for yourself can enhance your chances of conceiving. Certain techniques are used which are believed to support the areas required for conception at the correct time. Simple changes to lifestyle can also sometimes help with fertility.

Reflexology is a simple, safe, non-invasive treatment and is thought to help correct imbalances throughout the body.

Maternity Reflexology

Maternity Reflexology can be used to support you throughout your pregnancy and can help promote general well-being. It also gives you the opportunity to have some ‘me time’ where you can focus on you and your growing baby.

By working on specific reflexology points, Maternity Reflexology aims to optimise the emotional and physical health of pregnant women.

The Association Of Reflexologist state that ‘there is plenty of anecdotal evidence from women who feel they have benefited from reflexology throughout their pregnancy and in fact two recent studies have shown that reflexology in pregnancy significantly reduced pain during labour (1), reduced the length of the first stage of labour(1) and improved quality of sleep in post-natal women(2).’

Reflexology encourages a deep state of relaxation, relieves stress, aids sleep, improves mood and promotes a sense of health and general well-being, all of which support pregnancy.

Reflexology is a simple, safe, non-invasive treatment and is thought to help correct imbalances throughout the body.

About Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage involves the massaging of the head, neck, upper back, shoulders, arms, and face by using moderate pressure. These areas store a great deal of the tension, anxiety and stress that builds up in everyday life, and can lead to stiff, aching muscles, back pain, eye strain, and headaches. Massaging these areas will ease aches and pains, help to reduce tension, anxiety and stress, and will promote relaxation and a sense of well-being.

This ancient therapy has been practised for over a thousand years in India using aromatic oils, herbs and spices.

You can choose whether or not you want oils to be used in the treatment. If you do not want oils to be used, you can remain fully clothed; however, I would recommend that you wear a lightweight T shirt or top. If you do want oils to be used, you will need to remove your upper clothing and a large towel will be provided to ensure modesty. You can then literally sit back, relax and enjoy, or if you prefer you can lie on a couch.

Client Reviews

I’ve visited Restore and Rebalance Therapies a couple of times now and I’m absolutely hooked on the reflexology. I’ve been lucky enough to visit many different places for Therapies but this is by far the best. Won’t go anywhere else. Dawn makes each visit very personal, making sure you’re as relaxed as possible (falling asleep is permitted).

Love that there is the option to have a face massage with the Indian Head Massage too - extra indulgence and worth it.

It’s excellent value for money and in my opinion second to none. Fully recommend. 👍

Absolutely fantastic service. Dawn is so friendly and professional. I have had an Indian Head Massage which was lovely but the Reflexology is to die for 🤗 would definitely recommend.

Had my first Indian head massage and it was amazing! Dawn was really welcoming and put me at ease, the head and neck massage was extremely good as I have a lot of knots in my neck, would highly recommend everyone try!

Lauren Mellors via FB

I experienced my first ever Indian Head Massage with Dawn who was very welcoming and explained exactly what would happen. It incorporated not just the head but shoulders, back and neck and I opted for the extra face massage too. So relaxing! I highly recommend the treatment with Dawn and am looking forward to my next treatment.
It’s an added bonus to have free parking available too!👍
